State Police Motor Vehicle Stop in Fitchburg Results in Arrest of a Habitual Traffic Offender

Massachusetts State Police Media Release–08062013– State Police Motor Vehicle Stop in Fitchburg Results in Arrest of a Habitual Traffic Offender

Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at approximately 10:46 a.m., Trooper Stephen Koch of the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Leominster stopped a black Jeep Cherokee on River Street in the city of Fitchburg for speeding. The operator was identified as JUAN F. MENDEZ, 50, of Fitchburg. A check of MENDEZ’s license revealed it to be suspended and revoked and was deemed to be a Habitual Traffic Offender.

MENDEZ was arrested and brought to the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Leominster where he was booked.  MENDEZ was later transported to Fitchburg District Court for arraignment.

JUAN MENDEZ was charged with the following offenses:

1) Speeding

2) Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License-Habitual Traffic Offender

3) Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended License, Subsequent 5th Offense
