Sturbridge Stop Leads to Cocaine Seizure

April 3, 2014–At 1:45 a.m., Trooper Thomas Rodger made a motor vehicle stop on Route 84  eastbound in the Town of Sturbridge. After speaking with the operator, ANGEL ROBLES, 31, of Lowell, it was determined that he was not properly licensed to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts and taken into custody. The passenger, JULIO DIAZ MORALES, 31, from the State of Florida, was also not properly licensed and unable to drive the vehicle

As a result of the traffic stop a package of white powder was discovered in the motor vehicle. The powder was determined to be cocaine and approximated to be 135 grams. The two men were taken into custody and charged with the following:

ANGEL ROBLES was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to inspect, trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.

JULIO DIAZ MORALES was charged with trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate the drugs laws.

Both men were held until their arraignment  this morning in Dudley District Court. We have no further information at this time. Please do not call the barracks directly.
