Massachusetts State Police Release – 07012014 – Cocaine Seized on Car Stop in Holyoke

Last evening at approximately 6:12 p.m., Troopers Matthew Mielke and Dean Lambert were on patrol in the city of Holyoke when they stopped a Dodge Caravan for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as ROBERT A. KEITT, 35, of Springfield.

As a result of an investigation, bags containing a white powdery substance, believed to be cocaine were located. Cocaine is a Class B controlled substance. Also seized was a digital scale with residue of what is believed to be cocaine and marijuana.

KEITT was placed under arrest and transported to the Northampton Barracks for booking. He was booked and held on $5,000 bail, pending arraignment in Holyoke District Court this morning.

KEITT was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Possession to Distribute a Class B Substance, Subsequent Offense (Cocaine)
  2. Operate a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License
  3. No Inspection/Sticker
