Massachusetts State Police Release – 11022014 – Brockton Man Arrested in Plymouth Trafficking Cocaine
Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Trooper Michael Finley of the Norwell Barracks stopped an Infiniti sedan on Commerce Way in Plymouth for motor vehicle violations. The operator was identified as ROBERT P. SIMEONE Jr, 28, of Brockton.
During Trooper Finley’s encounter with SIMEONE, SIMEONE attempted to run from Trooper Finley as Trooper Finley located narcotics in his possession. After a brief foot chase, SIMEONE was captured. Trooper Finley was then assisted by Plymouth Police Officers John Bonasera and Michael Glowka. Trooper Andrew Mason also arrived to assist.
As a result of an investigation, SIMEONE was found to be in possession of approximately 196 grams of suspected cocaine and 10 grams of suspected heroin. In addition to the narcotics, SIMEONE was also in possession of over $11,000 in cash, believed to be in connection with the purchase and sale of narcotics.
SIMEONE was placed under arrest and brought to the Norwell Barracks for booking.
SIMEONE was charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Cocaine (100-200 grams)
- Distributing a Class A Substance
- Resisting Arrest
- Window Obstructed/Nontransparent
- Motor Vehicle Not Meeting RMV Safety Standards
No bail was set for SIMEONE. He is being held at the Plymouth County House of Correction, until his arraignment Monday morning at Plymouth District Court.
