Pedestrian Struck in Cambridge Has Died, Investigation Ongoing

UPDATE to Cambridge Pedestrian Crash

Sadly, the victim in Sunday’s pedestrian crash in Cambridge was pronounced deceased overnight. She is identified as Molly Doub, 31, of Cambridge.

Preliminary investigation by the Massachusetts State Police indicates that Ms. Doub was struck by a westbound motor vehicle as she crossed Memorial Drive on foot late Sunday afternoon. The vehicle that struck her was a 2009 BMW M5 operated by a 56-year-old Boston man.

The investigation into whether criminal charges are warranted against the driver is ongoing. That investigation is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Middlesex County State Police Detective Unit, and the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. No further information is being released at this time.
