Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 08132017 – State Police Arrest Two for Cocaine Trafficking in Deerfield

Last night at about 9:25 p.m., a motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of two people for trafficking in cocaine on Route 91 northbound in Deerfield.

Trooper Jesse Gadarowski was on patrol on Route 91 when he observed a 2011 Toyota Camry traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. He stopped the vehicle and following a subsequent investigation with assistance from Trooper Matthew Biron, Trooper Patrick Robinson and his K-9 Amir, and Deerfield Police Officer Jennifer Bartack, located approximately 60 grams of cocaine and Class E prescription medication.

The operator, DAWN GILLETTE, 39, of Springfield and her passenger, TORREN BOYD, 36, of Springfield, were placed under arrest for Trafficking in Cocaine and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Laws.

GILLETTE was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Class E substance and cited for speeding.

BOYD was additionally charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (Cocaine) and cited for a seatbelt violation.

GILLETTE and BOYD were transported to the Franklin County House of Correction where they were held on $7,500.00 and $15, 000.00 bail respectively. They will be arraigned in Greenfield District Court on Monday.
