Narcotics and Firearm seized during Motor Vehicle Stop in Lynn

December 1, 2018 – State Police with assistance from Lynn and Boston Police recovered an illegally possessed firearm after a motor vehicle stop in Lynn.

During the early morning hours of Thursday, November 30, Trooper Joseph Lamusta assigned to the State Police Barracks in Revere heard a BOLO (be on the lookout) alert from Boston Police for a gray Mercedes that had been carjacked by three male suspects with a firearm.

Trooper Lamusta observed the vehicle parked in a lot on Sagamore Street. As Trooper Lamusta approached the vehicle he observed the rear passenger, identified as HANS PACIDE, 18 of Boston drop a firearm under the car. The firearm recovered was a black and brown SCCY CPX-2 9mm that contained 9 rounds of ammunition in the magazine and 1 round in the chamber.

With assistance from Trooper Timothy Benedetto and Lynn Police Officer Mcaehern, Trooper Lamusta had all three occupants exit the vehicle and placed them under arrest.  The operator, was identified as LUIS RIVERA, 18 of Mattapan and found to be in possession of $1000 in US currency and 15 bags of crack cocaine. The front passenger, was identified as DAQUELLE MATTHEWS, 19 of Boston.

None of these men possessed a license to carry a firearm in Massachusetts.

All three men were transported to the Revere Barracks where they were booked and held pending their arraignment in Lynn District Court Thursday morning.

LUIS RIVERA was charged with the following offenses:
Possess To Distribute Cocaine;
Receive Stolen Motor Vehicle;
Possession / Carrying a Firearm;
Possess Firearm in Felony;
Larceny from Person;
Carrying a Loaded Firearm; and
Possession over 1oz not Secured Marijuana

DAQUELLE MATTHEWS was charged with the following offenses:
Possess Firearm in Felony;
Receive Stolen Motor Vehicle;
Possession / Carrying a Firearm, 2nd Offense;
Armed Career Criminal;
Carrying a Loaded Firearm; and
Larceny from Person

HANS PACIDE was charged with the following offenses:
Possess Firearm in Felony;
Receive Stolen Motor Vehicle;
Possession / Carrying a Firearm;
Carrying a Loaded Firearm;
Larceny from Person; and
Armed Career Criminal
