State Police Arrest Woman for OUI 2nd Offense in Springfield

Massachusetts State Police Release–032013–State Police Arrest Woman for OUI  2nd Offense in Springfield

Today at 1:37 a.m., the Massachusetts State Police arrested a woman on Route 291 in Springfield for OUI.  Trooper Robert Church from the State Police barracks in Springfield was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle traveling on Route 291 eastbound at a rate of speed much lower than the posted 55 MPH speed limit.  Trooper Church observed the vehicle drifting all over the roadway and stopped the vehicle.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as CHERYL SHATTUCK, 41, of Ludlow who was operating a 2005 Honda Accord.  Trooper Church determined that SHATTUCK was operating under the influence of alcohol (OUI) and she was arrested.

SHATTUCK was transported to the State Police Barracks in Springfield where she was booked, charged, and held pending bail.  SHATTUCK is scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield District Court.


CHERYL SHATTUCK was charged with the following offenses:

1.     Operating Under the Influence of Liquor 2nd Offense 90-24K;

2.     Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle 90-24E;

3.     Marked Lanes Violation 89-4A;

4.     Failure to Wear Seatbelt 90-13A.
