State Police investigating Route 93 pedestrian crash in Boston

August 25, 2018 – This morning at about 5:00 a.m., State Police responded to a crash on Route 93 Northbound, south of Exit 16, in Boston which involved a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Christopher Sullo indicates that a 42-year-old Weymouth woman was traveling on Route 93 Northbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu when she observed a person walking across the highway in the path of her vehicle. The woman took evasive measures, but was unable to avoid a collision with the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, an adult male whose identity is still undetermined, was transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

This crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
State Police were assisted on scene by Boston EMS.
