Today (Monday, Aug. 31) at 11 a.m., Massachusetts State Police Colonel Christopher Mason and commanders with three of our federal and local law enforcement partners will brief media on three operations that dealt crushing blows to two significant, high volume fentanyl trafficking organizations. The operations, all of which culminated in takedowns of targets within a day and a half late last week, resulted in the confiscation of 6 1/2  kilograms of fentanyl, pills, a firearm, and a large quantity of currency suspected to be drug proceeds, and the arrest of several suspects (one of whom was on a monitoring bracelet).

The briefing will be held at 11 AM today (Monday, Aug. 31) at Massachusetts State Police Headquarters, 470 Worcester Rd., Framingham.  In additional to Colonel Mason, participants will include Homeland Security Investigations Deputy Special Agent-in-Charge David Magdycz, Brockton Police Chief Emmanuel Gomes, and East Bridgewater Police Chief Paul O’Brien.

The seized narcotics will be displayed to the media during the press conference.

Media attending the briefing should report to General Headquarters by 10:50 AM. A member of the MSP Media Relations Office will instruct media where to set up.
