TWO PITTSFIELD MEN CHARGED WITH DRUG, FIREARMS OFFENSES

Over the past several months, the West Unit of the Massachusetts State Police Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team (CINRET West) and the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force (BCLETF) investigated distribution of heroin in Pittsfield. A resulting search warrant was issued for the 46 Clinton Ave. apartments of RYAN HENAULT, 24, and NOAH LEWIS, 18.

Early this morning, members of CINRET West and BCLETF executed both warrants in the separate apartments, resulting in the seizures of approximate totals of 30 grams of suspected cocaine and 24 grams of suspected heroin, assorted pills suspected to be controlled narcotics, a stolen Sturm Ruger .38 caliber revolver loaded with five rounds, a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver loaded with six rounds, a Jennings J-22 .22 caliber pistol loaded with six rounds, assorted ammunition, and US currency estimated at approximately $12,000.

HENAULT was arrested and booked at the Pittsfield Police Department on the following charges:

  1. Possession of a Class E narcotic;
  2. Illegal possession of a firearm;
  3. Illegal possession of ammunition;
  4. Possession of a firearm by a person with a prior violent crime/drug conviction; and
  5. Improper storage of a firearm.

LEWIS also was arrested and booked at the Pittsfield Police Department on the following charges:

LEWIS
  1. Trafficking in heroin or fentanyl;
  2. Trafficking in cocaine;
  3. Illegal possession of a firearm;
  4. Illegal possession of ammunition;
  5. Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony;
  6. Improper storage of a firearm (2 counts); and
  7. Receiving stolen property under $1,200.
