STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH WITHIN CONLEY CONTAINER TERMINAL IN BOSTON’S SEAPORT DISTRICT

At 11:41 a.m. today Massachusetts State Police patrols assigned to Troop F – Logan Airport responded to a crash at Conley Terminal in Boston’s Seaport district that resulted in the death of a man on foot.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 72-year-old man from Revere was pulling a trailer within the Terminal when his trailer struck a man on foot.  As a result of the collision, the pedestrian, a 41-year-old man from Billerica working as a truck driver within the terminal was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, and Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit.

State Police were assisted on scene by Massport PD and Fire, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
