UPDATE: VICTIM IN ROUTE 95, FOXBOROUGH, CRASH SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES; INVESTIGATION ONGOING

One of the victims in Sunday morning’s crash on Route 95 in Foxborough died from his injuries after being transported to Boston Medical Center. He is identified as Henry Augustin, 23, of Somerville.

Mr. Augustin and five other men were occupants of a 2009 Ford Expedition that rolled over multiple times on Route 95 northbound, north of Exit 13, just after 3:20 AM Oct. 2. All six occupants of the vehicle were ejected.

In addition to Mr. Augustin, who was a passenger, the other occupants were as follow:

  • A 22-year-old Tewksbury man who is believed to have been the driver, and who was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries;
  • A 28-year-old Everett man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries;
  • A 23-year-old Everett man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries;
  • A 23-year-old Somerville man who was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries; and
  • A 23-year-old Peabody man who was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with serious injuries.

The group was returning from a Providence nightclub when the operator lost control of the vehicle for reasons still under investigation. The investigation is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, including the Troop H Detective Unit and Troopers from the State Police-Foxboro Barracks, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County.

STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING SUV CRASH WITH MULTIPLE SERIOUS INJURIES, RT. 95, FOXBOROUGH

October 2, 2022

At approximately 3:20 AM Massachusetts State Police Troopers and other emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 95 north in Foxborough. Preliminary investigation indicates six occupants suffered injuries, at least two of whom have life-threatening injuries. 

The vehicle involved in the crash is a Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle. 

Route 95 north is currently closed at Exit 13 with traffic being detoured onto Route 140. 

The investigation into the crash is underway and is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County.
