State Police Seeking Assistance from Motorists Who May Have Seen or Captured Footage of Dark-Colored Car Involved in Route 95 Shooting Homicide

The Massachusetts State Police are asking anyone who observed or captured video of a dark-colored car Saturday night on Route 95 south or Route 3/93 to contact Troopers who are investigating the fatal shooting of a motorist in Foxborough.

Justin Parker, 37, of North Attleborough, was shot while driving southbound near Exit 17 on Route 95 south shortly before 10 PM on Saturday, February 3. After being shot, Mr. Parker’s black 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan swerved into a Lexus SUV occupied by a family and then struck a guardrail before coming to a stop on the highway. Responding State Police patrols from the Foxboro Barracks located Mr. Parker inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators determined that multiple rounds were fired from a black or dark-colored sedan at Mr. Parker’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued to travel southbound after the shots were fired.

MSP is seeking the assistance of members of the public who may have been driving on two highways in the area during the relevant time period. Specifically, we are interested in any observations or dash camera footage from motorists who were on Route 95 south from Waltham to the Rhode Island line, or on Route 3/93 from Boston or Weymouth heading toward Route 95 south, between 9-10 PM Saturday.

We ask that any such motorists contact State Police detectives if they:

  • witnessed part of this incident, or

  • saw one or more dark-colored cars being driven erratically or at a high rate of speed, or

  • who captured video or dashcam footage on the areas of Route 95 and Route 3/93 described above.

Members of the public who have information or video to share are asked to call the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County at 781-327-9801.

The Lexus SUV that was struck by Mr. Parker's Mercedes veered off the road into the woods; occupants of the Lexus did not suffer serious injuries.
