FRAMINGHAM:

As part of an ongoing commitment to protecting children and keeping those wishing to exploit them off of our streets, the Massachusetts State Police,  Framingham Police, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office announce the results of an operation that yielded several arrests for alleged crimes against children.

On Thursday, December 18th, the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, alongside officers from the Framingham Police Department, conducted an operation to address the increase in commercial sexual exploitation of children. The suspects who were arrested thought they were arranging sex for a fee with an underage child, when in fact they were communicating with undercover law enforcement officers.

As a result of the combined efforts of both law enforcement agencies, the following people were arrested and booked at the Framingham Police Department for the following charges:

Chapter 272, Section 53A – Sexual Conduct for a Fee with a Child,

Chapter 265 Section 26C(b) - Enticement of a child under the age of 16, and Chapter 274 Section 6 - Attempt to Commit a Crime (Attempted Rape of a Child

Joseph C. Norton of Framingham, MA

Eric S. Gurvis of Sherborn, MA

Surya Chandra Ravi Kumar Eda of Milford, MA

All three of the suspects were held on $7,500 bail pending arraignment at Framingham District Court.
