Last week, members of the Hamilton Police Department submitted a fingerprint card for a young applicant looking for employment with their department. A search of the AFIS System found this applicant did have an arrest record, however, the young pup had faithfully followed the courts orders and was successfully able to have all charges dismissed upon completion of a court ordered diversion program. This allowed K-9 Luca to be eligible for law enforcement duties and he was sworn in on Wednesday to faithfully serve the good citizens of Hamilton.
