PHOTO RELEASE: Troopers, Officers, and Cops For Kids With Cancer Help Lawrence Boy Fighting Leukemia

State Police-Concord Troopers Faria, Thompson, Valdez and Station Commander Lieutenant Recine, along with Chelmsford Police Deputy Chief Hannagan, several Chelmsford Police Officers, and Emerson College Police Sergeant Mirabella recently presented Elain Rodriguez, a 7-year-old boy from Lawrence, a grant from the Cops For Kids With Cancer organization. Elain is undergoing treatment for Leukemia, and the Massachusetts State Police, Chelmsford and Emerson College Police, and other local officers will fight alongside with him. The donation presented to Elain and his family will assist in getting Elain to his weekly treatments in Boston. Trooper Luis Valdez, who is pictured in the photo with several of his barracks mates, submitted the application for the grant to help Elain to Cops For Kids With Cancer, and the MSP and our partner agencies are extremely grateful for the award. Our deepest thanks to the Troopers and Officers, and of course to Cops For Kids With Cancer, for making this special day possible for Elain and the Rodriguez family!
