Search Underway for Lynn Shooting Suspect; Residents of Some Areas Asked to Shelter in Place

A search is currently underway by Lynn Police and Massachusetts State Police for a shooting suspect in Lynn. The shooting occurred shortly after 11:30AM in the area of Commercial and Neptune streets. The gunman (pictured) is at large and was on foot. Residents of the Commercial Street, South Street, Market Square and South Common areas are being asked to secure their homes and shelter in place. Members of the public who see the pictured suspect, or anyone suspicious, or have information about the man pictured, are urged to call 911 immediately.
