On March 28th at approximately 7:30pm, the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing was dispatched to Monson, MA to help locate a missing 87-year-old who was living with Alzheimer's Disease.

Our Air Wing is equipped with infrared cameras and heat-seeking technology, which helped the Troopers in the air locate the man and guide those on the ground to find him in the dark.

The man was then transported to get medical attention.

The Air Wing is a vital tool that helps Troopers assist in many complex law enforcement operations, and helps to fulfill one of our core missions to keep the public safe.
