State Police Fugitive Unit Adds Suspect in Fall River Homicide to Most Wanted List



The Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section has added the man suspected of a May 2023 Fall River homicide to its Most Wanted list.

 

On Saturday May 13, 2023, the Fall River Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a person shot on County Street. Arriving officers located 23-year-old Diamonte Odom suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Odom was transported to a Rhode Island hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

 

The ensuing homicide investigation by the Fall River Police Department Major Crimes Division and the State Police Detective Unit for Bristol County resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant charging TAJON J. SAXON, 26, with murder and firearm offenses.

 

SAXON is a black male, 5’10” tall and approximately 160 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has used the alias Jameel Carr. SAXON has close ties to the Fall River area, Rhode Island, and New York. He should be considered armed and dangerous. The firearm used in the May 13, 2023 homicide has not been recovered.

 

In addition to the arrest warrant stemming from the homicide, SAXON is the subject of additional arrest warrants for unrelated crimes of accessory after the fact of murder, interfering with a police officer, and narcotics and motor vehicle offenses.
