MSP Investigating Remains of Infant Found at Rochester Trash Facility

 

The below release was issued by the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.


The Massachusetts State Police are investigating after the remains of a newborn infant was found in a Rochester recycling facility, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

 

Rochester Police received a 911 call at approximately 10:40 a.m. yesterday from Zero Waste Solutions recycling facility in Rochester. The caller reported that infant remains were found within a trash collection that was trucked to the facility for disposal.

 

Rochester Police contacted Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took jurisdiction and will determine cause of death.
