Worcester and Middlesex County Pursuit

6 March 2025

At approximately 2:45 p.m. today (Thursday), a Trooper assigned to the Troop C Community Action Team patrolling on Interstate 290 east activated his emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop when he spotted a rental car with Virginia registration that was the subject of a BOLO (“be on the look out”). Police believed the person driving the car was wanted on more than a dozen warrants in Massachusetts and several other warrants in New Hampshire, Virginia, and Maryland, including for felony offenses.

When the operator refused to stop for police and began traveling in the breakdown lane, the Trooper self-terminated for safety reasons. A short time later, Troopers reengaged the vehicle on Interstate 495 north and prepared stop sticks that were successfully deployed on the exit 67 offramp. Troopers did not pursue the vehicle because it continued to travel erratically west on Route 62.

The State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section coordinated with the rental company to identify the vehicle’s location in Clinton, which was visually confirmed by the Air Wing.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m., Troopers located the operator in a wooded area near the parking lot and took him into custody.

The suspect is identified as Jaquelle Anderson, 39, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He is expected to appear in Marlborough District Court tomorrow.
